I find all my flights through this app due to the sheer convenience of it. I especially love that you can search an entire month of flights at once, as well as the cheapest time of year to fly depending on your destination.
2. XE Currency
A necessity if you are dealing in any currency apart from your own & ensures that the price you haggled is as good of a steal as you think it is. Works offline too!
From the recommendation of Alex in Wanderland, this app allows to track where you've been on a 3D map, while also letting you know what percentage of the world you've travelled. I've become slightly obsessed with this one, and am hoping they'll soon include a feature to track Canadian provinces & territories like you can do with American states.
My only recommendation for this one is to be sure you haven't selected UberPool if you need to get to your destination fast. I quickly realized I had make this mistake in New York City when the trip ended up taking twice as long. I was also hilariously confused as to why we were picking up other passengers for quite some time.
This app has to be my absolute favourite for creating fun & quirky video loop clips. It easily spruces up lacklustre photos too! If you're uploading your Boomerang clips to Instagram afterwards, which you probably are, I also recommend downloading Squarefit, which allows your whole clip to be displayed on Instagram as opposed to a cropped version of it.
Now of course not included in this list there are also the standard Google Translate, Maps, Weather, etc. which you'll likely find useful. As always, enjoy your travels! xxx
